In 1957, a private company was founded in Politika, Evia, under the personal guidance of Antonis Souliotis. Its primary purpose was the production and distribution of Greek, quality, traditional ready meals, in the Greek and International market. Tide SA remained a personal business until 1982, where it took on the corporate form it has today with the participation of his sons Antonis Souliotis, Kostas and Vassilis.
This change gave Tide new momentum and with a series of strategic moves combined with a commitment to quality, respect for tradition and an emphasis on innovation, they managed to turn Tide from a small craft into a modern food export group that distributes its products to more from 40 countries around the world.
In 1989, the implementation of a long-term investment plan began with investments in modern and technologically advanced facilities and new offices, which was completed in 1992 with their operation in Politika Evia.
In 2000 a new era began for Palirria, when the management of the company decided to create a new modern production unit in Bulgaria, under the name Palirria Bulgaria Ltd, in order to be able to further increase its exports.
From 2010 onwards, Palirroia focused its interest even more on exports, as a result of which they cover an increasing part of its total turnover.
Today, Tide is the largest Greek exporter of ready meals and is the No. 1 producer of Dolma in the world. For 2014, its total production amounted to 17,500 tons and more than 1,400,000 dolmadas were produced daily by hand. Validating their excellent taste, the Doldoria dolmadas have been awarded by 2 international organizations, the International Quality Institute in Brussels (Superior Taste Award) and the Fine Food in England (Excellent Taste Award).
