DMS Sailing was founded by the Stamos family and has been sailing in Greek waters for many years. This background gives us the distinct and special advantage of insight and local knowledge that most charter companies sometimes can not offer.
Our boats have personal care, they are very well maintained by our team, which is in the marina 365 days a year, in order to take care of even the last detail and always clean from the things we experience in this area.
We are proud of our customer service, all our “guests” express the best for the heart and good service from the moment they arrive until the end of their vacation.
Today DMS Sailing is led mainly by Maria and Dimitris Stamou, the continuous efforts of their parents to provide an excellent sailing experience in the Greek islands, together with Eugenios Theodoridis, who over the years became a member of our sailing family .
How the company started:
A review by the founder of DMS Sailing Mr. Vassilis Stamou:
Back in 1977 my wife and I started leaving for the Greek islands and we seemed to get well. But we spent the first day of our vacation cleaning the boat and inspecting it as the inspection process was not sufficient. As a result during our holidays I used to spend time looking for the faucet, how much different equipment worked (if they did) etc. And imagine that then cell phones did not exist.
A few years later we started chartering cruise ships and founded the first company and we promised ourselves that we would provide our fellow sailing lovers with the best possible maintenance and service. I bought the first yacht that is still part of the fleet today and promised to give charterers the best experience on the boat.
Our principle:
The first yacht the company bought was in 2001 and after 13 sailing seasons it is still one of the top of the fleet and the most demanding. It is fully maintained and with new equipment that is personally selected every year to satisfy all tastes. People love it and keep coming back for it, and it is always perfect from the beginning of the season. Because of the excellent relationship with Dimitris that is always supported by the experience that Vassilis has in the maintenance of boats after almost 20 years.
In 2003 the company bought the second yacht and the rest came later after hard work and dedication.
In recent years we have focused on luxury combined with quality, while the Beneteau Oceanis 54 accompanied by teak panels, generator, air conditioning, plumbing, electric toilets and many other amenities will satisfy the crews even if they are offered for fitness use or charter flights.
